Privacy

  • Your data stays on your device

    Your chats are saved in the browser on this device. With the on-device model, prompts are answered by Chrome on your device. No account, no analytics.

  • Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or OpenRouter

    Only with your own key (Pro): your messages, and the page text when you ask about a page, go straight from your browser to the provider you picked.

  • OpenRouter price list

    Loaded in Ask AI settings to sort models by price. It sends nothing about you.

Ask AI: common questions

Which browsers support the on-device AI?

Chrome 138 or newer on a computer with enough storage and memory. Winaruz tells you if the model is not available, and you can use your own key with Winaruz Pro instead.

Are my prompts sent to a server?

Not with the on-device model: it runs in Chrome on your device. If you add your own API key, your messages go straight from your browser to the provider you picked, and the key is stored encrypted on your device and left out of backups.

Is Ask AI free?

Yes. Chat with Chrome's on-device model has no cap. Winaruz Pro adds your own key for cloud models.

Can Ask AI see my passwords?

No. The Password Manager is never shared with Ask AI.
