Privacy Policy

What stays on your device

Everything you create in Winaruz is saved in your browser's extension storage: tasks, notes, links, events, alarms, habits, snippets, settings and your Home layout.

Screenshots, screen recordings and your clipboard history are saved in the browser's local database, which web pages and page scripts cannot reach. The Password Manager encrypts your logins with your master password before saving them.

What we don't collect

• No analytics, tracking or advertising.
• No personal data is sent to us or sold to anyone, apart from your email and order when you buy Winaruz Pro, and the license email when you activate it.
• No copy of your data on any server. Backups are files you export and keep yourself.

Data read from your browser

Some tools read browser data to do their job, only after you grant the permission they need. This data is used on your device and is never sent to us.

• Site Time counts how long the active tab stays on each site.
• Clipboard keeps the text you copy on web pages. With the paste picker on, it lists your last copies under the field you click, in a box the page itself cannot read.
• Bookmark Manager, Downloads, Extensions and Cache Cleaner use the matching Chrome data.
• With autofill on, the Password Manager looks for login and code fields on the pages you open, and fills them only when you pick a saved login. While the vault is unlocked, its key is kept in the browser's memory so pages can be filled; it is removed when the vault locks.
• Read Later and Timestamp Saver save the address and title of the page you are on. With offline reading on, Read Later also keeps the text of the pages you save, on this device.
• Site Blocker and focus mode block only the sites you list.
• Weather and Qibla read your location only when you turn on "Use my location". Weather sends the coordinates to Open-Meteo for your forecast; Qibla works out the direction on your device.

Online services

A few tools fetch public data from outside services, only once you use them. They receive only what the request needs, such as a city or coordinates, never your saved content. Weather rain alerts and prayer reminders refresh in the background while those tools are on.

• Weather, and city search in World Clock, Prayer Times and Qibla: Open-Meteo.
• Prayer Times and Adhkar timings: AlAdhan.
• Quran text and recitations: AlQuran Cloud and EveryAyah.
• Currency Converter rates: ExchangeRate-API. Rate history, and gold and silver prices in Zakat: the free currency-api files on jsDelivr. Gold and crypto prices: CoinGecko.
• Weather air quality and pollen: Open-Meteo.
• Quran tafsir and extra translations: AlQuran Cloud. Prayer Times monthly timetable: AlAdhan.
• Quick Links and Bookmark Manager link checks: each saved address is opened once to see if it still loads, only when you run the check.
• Vault leak check: only the first 5 characters of a hash of the password go to Have I Been Pwned (api.pwnedpasswords.com), never the password itself.
• Calendar: the calendar links you subscribe to, fetched every few hours.
• Translator, when you pick an online service: the text you translate goes to DeepL, Google Cloud Translation, or your Ask AI provider, with your own key.
• Timestamp Saver video thumbnails: YouTube.

Winaruz Pro license

When you activate Winaruz Pro, and every few days after that, the extension sends your license email, the license key, a random id for this device and the app version to our website, https://winaruz.online, to check the license. Nothing else is sent.

Purchases

Winaruz Pro is sold by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, which processes the payment. Lemon Squeezy handles your payment and billing details under its own privacy policy, and we never see your card. We receive only your email and the order (its number, product, price and date), which we use to send your license key, answer support and handle refunds.

AI

Ask AI, Translator and Form Filler use the models built into Chrome by default. Your prompts and texts stay in the browser on your device.

If you add your own API key in Ask AI settings, your messages, the page text when you ask about a page, and the labels and nearby text of a form when Form Filler uses AI, go straight from your browser to the provider you picked: Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or OpenRouter. Their own privacy terms apply. Your key is stored encrypted on this device and left out of backups. To sort the models by price, Ask AI settings load OpenRouter's public price list, which sends nothing about you.

Permissions

Tools ask for permissions only when you open them, and you can take any of them back in Settings, Permissions.

Your control

Export or import a backup from Your data at any time. Backups leave out your clipboard history, your license and your AI keys. Reset all data in Settings, or remove the extension, to delete everything Winaruz saved.

Uninstall survey

When you remove Winaruz, Chrome opens a short optional survey on our website. Its link carries the version you used, how many days you had it, your plan (trial, free or Pro) and how many tools you had installed, and it asks why you left. Nothing else is sent.

If you answer, we store your answer, your optional comment and those details from the link. We don't ask for your name or email. Your IP address is used only for a short time to stop spam and is never stored with your answer.

Survey answers are kept to understand why people leave. They are anonymous and are not deleted automatically.

Error reports

If a page of Winaruz breaks, the error page shows a Report error button. Only when you tap it, the extension sends the error message and its technical trace, the page and tool it happened in, the app version and your browser name and version to our website, https://winaruz.online, so we can fix it. Your saved content is not sent.

We store the report to find and fix the bug. Your IP address is used only for a short time to stop spam and is never stored with the report.

Error reports are kept to follow bugs over time. They are anonymous and are not deleted automatically.

This website

This website has no analytics, no ads and no third-party trackers. Fonts and images are served from this site.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version shows here with its date.
